Tuesday nights: Race 7 [Posted by Kate on Sat 21st May 05]

After a good start and a run out of the harbour we were looking good though still had too many boats inside us. Around North Haven everyone popped their kites but for once we were slow and didn't until we were in the Looe channel having overtaken 2/3 boats. We then overtook Tigerlilly on the next beat coming back into the harbour and kept them at bay. However, the X332 got in our way up the last leg to the line covering us and then didn't sail off into the distance as you would expect!! This meant that we weren't sure about the win but win we did. Last race of the series next week and we're still in with a chance so we need to sail fast and pray Squamish and Itchy keep their distance!!!
