Uproar win the winter series 2005 [Posted by Kate on Wed 28th Dec 05]

We went into the last few races unsure of what to expect especially when one day we turned up and the visibility was 10m - thankfully the race was abandoned. This played into our hands though as it meant we won the series with a race to spare. However, we were out for the last race despite the freezing temperatures. Georgie had the Christmas spirit and dressed the crew! Kate with a banner saying "kiss me it's Christmas", Georgie and Steve H wore Christmas hats, Karen had snowflakes hair band and Dan a lovely bell on his head. Though Georgie went all out for Steve D buying him a santas apron which with all his layers of clothes mad him look very santa like (ie fat belly!!) and of course a santa hat. Despite the fancy dress and amusement had by all we still managed to lead the fleet finishing with another win on the water.

We look forward to next year and meeting everyone on and off the water again.
